Someone tied down the pilot lite on gas valve so the pilot stays lit. This was done to fool the home inspector. This will never work. The gas valve will not turn on at this point only the pilot will. This has to be dangerous too. Flame , old valve , no cut off, bypassed safety switch . DO NOT DO THIS BOOM
