This air conditioner was not on and the blower in the house was. The air conditioner was low on Freon and had a limit switch turn off the unit. Found a leak in a repairable spot. Fix leak  and filled. Sometimes you have to replace something when you have a leak. That's a bad day. They don't make R22 anymore so if your system is old you are running out of options. Use a refrigerant that is compatible or replace system. The compatible refrigerant is high priced since they know they got you over a barrel.
